Aion Classic EU announces an official PvP tournament for October 19

Slaughter dozens, win a plushie

Remember when one of the big ticket features for Aion was its two-faction PvP? Pepperidge Farm remembers. And so does Gameforge apparently, as the publisher is calling on players to flex their PvP chops and participate in Aion Classic EU’s the Triad of Champions, a 3v3 PvP tournament that’s kicking off on Saturday, October 19th.

The tournament itself is pretty straightforward: Eight groups of four teams, each consisting of three players, will duke it out in 1v1 duels on the Apheta Belusian map, with winners moving to the quarterfinals. After that, matches will be best-of-three, and the final will be best-of-seven. All team members must fight one bout each (no repeat challengers), but there are otherwise no limits in terms of gear and consumables.

Those who partake in the dust-up will be eligible for some unique in-game rewards including consumable packs, kinah bundles, cosmetics, and in the case of the winner, a Shugo plushie. Sign-ups are open to players between September 28th to October 13th, while quarterfinal and final competition will be streamed on Twitch and YouTube, dates and times to be announced later.
