Diablo III’s next season will retread the Shades of the Nephalim mechanic October 25

The reruns that make up Diablo III’s seasons are continuing forth, as Season 33 will reintroduce players of the OARPG to the Shades of the Nephalim mechanic when it arrives on Friday, October 25th.

In case you don’t recall, this seasonal theme will allow players to summon a shadow clone of their character whenever they activate a shrine or a pylon, taking “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” to a rather literal place. The season will also temporarily add a fourth slot to Kanai’s Cube to allow players a little more buildcraft fun.

The goodies for the season are similarly repeated arrivals, including Season 9 cosmetics, another rotation for Hadrig’s Gift gear sets, and the opportunity to get another stash tab, though there are also two new rewards up for grabs in the form of a new portrait and a robot pet friend. Try not to wonder what the lizard thing in its tank is; sometimes ignorance really is bliss.
