The Year of Darkpaw is almost over with, but the month of in-game items is already upon us in both EverQuest and EverQuest II, as both MMORPGs have some shop item-related updates that players will likely want to know about.
We’ll start with EQ2 and its changes to vaulting and unvaulting of Marketplace items: Starting today, housing, appearance, and mount items will cycle on a bi-monthly basis on the 1st and 15th of each month (with the exception of December, obviously). Daybreak promises that previously vaulted items will be brought back, so if you missed out on a wanted cash shop treat, just be patient. Or get understandably annoyed. You do you.
Meanwhile in EQ1, December’s freebie is a dragon hatchling metamorph wand item that can be claimed until January 1st to let players go on baby dragon adventures. The announcement post also calls attention to a creepy marionette metamorph wand added to the cash shop, upcoming collection items, and updates for the Anniversary Tower, heroic adventure, and merchant items arriving later this month.
