MapleStory players already knew that The Dark Ride update was broken up into two halves, so the fact that this week brought more of the patch isn’t exactly a surprise. Still, there is quite a lot going on despite that information!
At the top of the new content in this week’s release is a new boss known as Limbo, an arcane presence that seeks to take the power of the Source, which is probably not something people in the world of Maple want. The patch has also added a more dark twist to Christmas this year, with new seasonal activities that are unique to MapleStory Global.
Other features in this patch include an additional hexa stat node to level up and a new XP-boosting Burning Express event to take part in, while additional features will open up later in January including an in-game auction for abandoned character names, a new Angler Company epic dungeon, a quest involving some extradimensional travelers, and more Burning events.
