I hate to say it, but the longer a game stays on my curiosity list, the more likely it is to fall off the other end by virtue of having given either too little information or too much. Soulframe, for example, was one of my most anticipated games in 2023, but the slow drip of concrete info definitely deflated my hype. Similarly, ArcheAge 2 – now ArcheAge Chronicles – seems like it’s hedging so hard away from what made ArcheAge great that I am having a hard time even taking it seriously as a core MMORPG.
