It seemed like a given that Monster Hunter World would get more in the way of updates, given the game’s overall success. If you predicted that would mean a full-on expansion, well, you win the prize. The game’s Twitter account has announced Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, a massive expansion due for Autumn of 2019.
Obviously, this does not yet include pricing or a full list of content, which makes sense when the expansion is not actually going to be released for many months. But we do know that this will include new monsters, locales, equipment, and moves; there’s also the promise of a new quest rank and a new story taking place after the main thrust of the base game. Check out the trailer down below and keep your eyes peeled for more information through next year, because it looks like the hunt continues ever onward.

That wasn’t even the only big Monster Hunter announcement today; the game is also plotting a crossover with… The Witcher. Huh.
Together with Capcom, we’re presenting the crossover everyone’s been waiting for: Geralt takes on a new contract in @monsterhunter World!
The Witcher-inspired content is coming to MHW on @PlayStation 4 and @Xbox One in early 2019 as a free update, with PC release to follow soon. pic.twitter.com/gQPBWmF9Al
