File this one under rumors that have been kicking around so long it’s kind of amazing anyone still cares: There’s another clue that Red Dead Redemption 2 – and presumably then Red Dead Online – are still en route to PC.

The latest clue comes via comes via Resetera, where a user points out that Rockstar has now multiple times filed for RDR2 classification in Australia this past summer and being rejected, which would be weird since the game is already there – unless of course it’s the PC version. “The PC version of GTA V was scrutinised more thoroughly compared to its console counterparts with mentions of violence, sex and online interactivity, so if this is really the PC version of RDR2, it’s probably going through the same ropes in order to see release, which is why it keeps getting refused,” user Vestan argues. “I doubt Rockstar would go out of their way to make a whole new classification for anything related to Red Dead Online, especially when you look at GTA V’s listing on the Australian Classification Board and see that GTA Online doesn’t have its own classification.”

RDR2 released on console last fall to rave reviews in the middle of a huge labor scandal for Rockstar Games. Red Dead Online, the multiplayer version of the game we’re most interested in ’round here, rolled out shortly thereafter, emerging from beta this past summer.
