Myth of Empires cranks out a playtest for its upcoming February launch

With its legal troubles hopefully behind it, medieval sandbox MMO Myth of Empires is cruising to a full launch next month. But before that happens, some last-minute testing is a must, which is why Angela Game is running a one-week playtest to sort out any big issues.

The playtest, which began yesterday and will continue until Tuesday the 30th, is a rather expansive one with 18 servers spread across the globe. It also includes a few new items, including a combat scythe wagon and climbing claws, as well as improved horse breeding, hand-held lanterns, the new Dongzhou map, and more character customization options.

Myth of Empires emerges from a two-year legal drama in which Snail Games and Studio Wildcard tried to take Angela to court over claims of stolen code and forced Steam to remove the title for the time being. When the dust settled, a settlement was reached and the companies decided to play nice together, allowing for this game to relaunch.
