One step back, two steps forward for Daybreak: While the company is currently struggling with layoffs, delayed products, and the abrupt and poorly communicated sale of one of its core IPs (that EG7 tried to pass off as a non-core IP), the EverQuest and EverQuest II studio is still forging ahead with its Year of Darkpaw celebration for the EverQuest franchise – and that means the convention circuit.
Daybreak’s Darkpaw team has announced that it’ll be sending reps to PAX East in March to deliver a panel on the franchise’s long history of development as well as to host a meet-and-greet for fans. Ah, remember the days of SOE Live? Maybe this’ll be the next best thing.

Come see us, as we will be bearing gifts for those of you who choose to venture out into the world and find us there! We will have a panel titled “Behind the Scenes: 28 years of EverQuest® Development” from the game team in the Condor Theater on Thursday, March 21st from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST. If you don’t have tickets for PAX East, you’ll still be able to meet up with us at Harpoon Brewery that evening from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. EST for some extra together time with those who wish to join us!”
