Palia has racked up 3 million players since hitting open beta last summer

It’s not every day that we get cold hard numbers from a games studio, but Singularity 6 is providing a very large one today: Palia has apparently hit 3M players total while it’s been in open beta – and that’s without Steam, where it’ll debut later this month.

“Singularity 6 is thrilled to announce that the cozy community sim Palia has welcomed more than three million players since the game was released on PC last summer. And the highly-engaged community is thriving with more than 300,000 cozy gaming fans joining the Palian conversation on the community Discord. Palia is a rare free-to-play, live-service game that prospers by building a large, active community across platforms, such as PC and Nintendo Switch, and is set to welcome even more players when the game launches on Steam on March 25. The game’s upcoming Steam release has already seen a tremendous response with more than 300,000 wishlists on the platform.”

We note again that Palia is still in open beta early access and has been since August; nowhere in the press release is that made clear, and the words “open beta,” “beta,” and “early access” aren’t used at all.
