It looks as if the self-described “multiplayer Viking survival tribe builder” Aska is ready to move forward from its latest closed beta into its new frontier, as it has confirmed plans to begin its early access on Steam on Thursday, June 20th.

For those who haven’t been following along our coverage of this one, Aska sees up to four players come together after a shipwrecking to establish a village full of people, with the ultimate aim of getting resources enough to withstand the ravages of a Dead Winter. Players will have to manage their AI villagers, assigning them tasks and scheduling their routines in what reads like a mashup of survival title and colony sim.

According to the game’s Steam page, Aska is set to get at least two major updates that will expand where villages can be established, while most of the updates will focus on player feedback and smaller regular patches. Full launch is projected for sometime in 2025. Of course, that means you can wishlist the game to mark your calendar.
