Elder Scrolls Online has tweaked the Whitestrake’s Mayhem PvP event for its return next week

Hey, PvPers! Elder Scrolls Online is rerunning the Whitestrake’s Mayhem PvP event just for you starting July 25th – and it’s got a bit of an update since its run last year too.

The point of the event, of course, is to kick your fellow players’ butts in exchange for rewards, all while taking advantage of a massive bonus to alliance points, experience, and Tel Var stone gain. And it’s easy to jump in; you just take the freebie quest from the cash shop and follow it to your alliance faction’s Cyrodiil gate and talk to Predicant Maera.

The big change this go-round is that everyone will passively benefit from the boosts without having to actually use the scroll.

“One key difference from previous years’ events is that you no longer need to obtain or use the Scroll of Pelinal’s Ferocity to benefit from the 100% buff to Alliance Point, XP, and Tel Var Stone gains. These bonuses are now shared passively to adventurers skirmishing throughout Cyrodiil, the Imperial City, and Battlegrounds. As a result, there is no longer a method to pick up the Scroll of Pelinal’s Ferocity anywhere in-game, and those who already own the item will now notice it no longer offers any functionality.”

Not into PvP? Here’s the schedule for the rest of the summer.
