Apparently the players of EVE Online have a very different idea of what it means to celebrate labor. The Labor Day holiday weekend saw a pretty meaty fight break out in nullsec, resulting in over 1.1 trillion ISK worth of internet spaceship get nice and exploded.
The fight took place at G3D-ZT in the Detorid system over a Staging Fortizar structure, which Redditor T2-4B described as starting off as a brawl before escalating when multiple dreadnoughts arrived to the fight but ultimately ended in the structure being successfully reinforced. “Summary: fucking great fight, a bit of [time dilation], but fun was had, and objective achieved,” the player writes.
While over one trillion ISK in ship losses is quite a big figure, this is hardly the largest fight that’s broken out within EVE. That record still belongs to the Massacre at M2-XFE at over 23 trillion ISK in losses, followed by the Bloodbath of B-R5RB’s 11 trillion ISK. Still, over one trillion in losses is not nothing and the defenders certainly did labor during Labor Day.
Over in Detorid yesterday, a fight over a Fortizar managed to escalate into a dread fight with over 1.1 trillion ISK destroyed.
