Today’s the day, Black Desert fans, at least if you’re on PC: Pearl Abyss has officially launched the game’s 2024 expansion, Land of the Morning Light: Seoul, the sequel to last year’s Land of the Morning Light.

“[T]his sequel expansion offers new storylines, diverse gameplay, and captivating adventures, all set against the beautiful backdrop of medieval Seoul, Korea,” the studio says. Players can look forward to the new Hwanghae region, eight new quest lines based on Korean folklore, six new bosses, and of course, the new sovereign weapons tier.

“In Land of the Morning Light: Seoul, Adventurers will embark on a journey through historically significant locations inspired by Korea’s Joseon Dynasty, such as Gyeongbokgung Palace, Hanyang Yukjo Street, and Gyeonghoeru Pavilion. These settings have been meticulously re-created to provide an authentic and immersive experience. Exploring this region, players will navigate complex storylines, choose their paths, and uncover secrets.”

Patch notes are up now too, so you can take a peek at some of the class changes, city maps, boss spawns, even furniture. We count over 12,000 words in the notes, not counting all the words in the images, so you’d better get to reading.

As we noted at the top of the week, PA has started dropping what will eventually 10 different videos heralding the expansion. Here’s what’s live so far.
