Jagex has been making a lot of noise about it, and this week it’s finally here: The Ode of the Devourer quest has officially launched to RuneScape, promising the start of new stories and activities for those who have met previously noted prerequisites.
This new quests takes players on a journey to discover the Sanctum of Rebirth and learn its purpose, all while it sets the stage for the addition of a new skilling boss and a shard hunt event at the Gate of Elidinis on September 23rd. The quest’s release is further being celebrated with broadcasts from the devs and partnered streamers, just in case you’re the sort who would rather watch a new quest and not play it.
This week’s update is otherwise pretty menial beyond the quest’s arrival, with a change to the Bladed Dive ability, a tweak to a pop-up message, and the end of free players getting unintended access to the Sanctum of Rebirth via a gondola ride.
