Starlight Re:Volver is a candy-colored co-op dungeon delver coming to early access soon

Most of the time we’re not ones to zero in on a game’s visuals, but in the case of the upcoming multiplayer co-op title Starlight Re:Volver, it’s extremely hard to ignore its graphical style; we were remarking in office chat how the game’s color scheme makes it look like it’s made of taffy and buttermints.

Starlight Re:Volver invites up to four players to explore the dream-like world of So Mi using the power of the titular Re:Volver device. Teams can select one of four characters then delve into a wide assortment of fantastical dungeon biomes that range from floating islands to interstellar star bases, taking down foes with a flashy active combat model, pairing magical combo attacks, and breaking crystals to alter the terrain and find treasures. Players can then relax in the larger-scale social hub of NIM to craft, fish, stargaze, or just hang out. And pet pastel-colored cats.

The game will be entering into early access sometime soon, with plans to add more bosses, many additions to NIM, and possibly more characters. Developer Pahdo Labs expects early access to run between one and two years, though it reserves the right to extend that timeframe in order to hit its quality bar. We’re not sure when this bright bit of co-op gaming will begin its EA launch, but then our retinas will need a moment to recover from all of the panache displayed in the trailer below.
