Nightingale has once again brought Inflexion CEO Aaryn Flynn and head of audio Neil Thompson together for the survivalbox’s second dev talk video where the pair talk about some of the features currently in the game’s PTR and one major update coming sometime down the line.

The immediate future for the game is mostly couched in the most recent PTR build, which is introducing a removal of required building connections to let players put together “funkier” structures (players are already knocking down foundations after walls and floors have been built to make things float), adding a Halloween event, and applying “hundreds and hundreds” of bug fixes. Timing for this build’s arrival to early access hasn’t been specified, but the devs definitely want to have the Halloween event live in time at least.

The latter half of the video then talks about Nightingale City, the primary goal of the game’s narrative and the magical Victorian city that players are cut off from: The devs confirm that they are starting to build this location out and concepting what it will be like from a gameplay perspective, though they also point out that things are still in the early stages and a launch date for this major addition isn’t in sight yet.
