How do you feel about the open world maps of the single-player Horizon: Zero Dawn series? Have you thought how those maps just weren’t stacking up to a real MMO world? Well if rumors and a new job posting are any indication, the opportunity to play an MMO set in the world of that IP could be happening soon.

Twitter user JorRaptor first spotted a recent job posting by developer Guerilla Games that seeks a release QA intern to provide the studio with “both theoretical knowledge and practical experience to ensure [a new game] is prepared for launch.” The internship is specific to the company’s Amsterdam studio and is for the first half of 2025.

It looks as if the signs are pointing to the Horizon MMO that NCsoft and Sony began hiring for at the beginning of January, a game codenamed Project H and Project Skyline. Jason Schreier also reported that Guerilla’s next game in the series would be a multiplayer online game of some description; bear in mind that Guerilla is a Sony-owned studio.

We may not have to wait too long to learn more as well, considering this internship position is for the first half of next year to determine whether the project is ready for release; that could mean a launch may happen in the latter half of 2025 or the early part of 2026. In either case, it may soon be time to ponder the possibilities.

Worth noting is that Sony and Guerilla have also launched LEGO Horizon Adventures literally today; the $60 LEGO game is also set in the Horizon franchise and does have multiplayer, so clearly Sony’s going to make full use of it until you’re tired of hearing the word Horizon. Horizon Horizon Horizon.
