Get ready for a major change in how Pax Dei handles one of its key social features, as the early access MMO is changing over its chat system to a new one “powered by Discord” this Wednesday, November 20th.

The studio said that while this new system will initially look familiar, the chat will boast additional features such as a zone-wide chat, a friends list, the ability to block and mute, and the ability to stay connected to friends outside of the game. It should be noted that this is the first iteration of the system, with additional features such as clan chat and voice chat coming in the future.

“We’re very excited about this collaboration and the opportunity to open a fresh approach to in-game discussions and socializing, allowing you to connect more seamlessly with your friends, clanmates, and fellow adventurers,” the studio said.
