Marvel Rivals shows off its Hydra map and previews further development on the way

The expected.

If you really want a hero shooter, you go to a place that’s absolutely lousy with heroes. Marvel ones, even. Yes, that’s how Marvel Rivals is gearing up for its launch on December 6th with 33 playable heroes, and the developers are showing off one of the new maps available in the game that drops you dead in the center of a Hydra base. Hey, if Hydra can’t take advantage of some timeline chaos, who can?

There’s also a new development video explaining how the developers have reined in the power of some particular heroes (such as Magneto) to keep them from being unbalanced. The video even shows off more maps coming, such as Wakandan maps with unique consequences for destroying structures, and Tokyo 2099 with a debris-sucking portal in the sky. If you’re looking for more development details and the team’s anti-cheat measures in action, the second video is what you want. But you can watch both.
