We don’t often peek in to Magic: The Gathering Online too often, but that’s certainly not because it’s doing nothing, as the end of the calendar year showcases with some end-of-year events to wrap things up in a tidy bundle.

Headlining the digital CCG’s activities is a new vintage cube draft event for the winter season, which can be previewed through Wednesday, December 18th, by inputting code HOLIDAY2024 in the in-game store to get two draft points to try things out. After that, entry into the event requires the usual cash shop buy-in, but this year the game is offering a bundle for those who want to play. The link above provides information about what cards are in this draft event, which runs from now until January 22nd.

Another major event happening for year’s end is more chances to get into MTGO’s next esporting events, with 26 regional championship event invitations up for grabs across eight different events. These swings at some of the more competitive side of the CCG run on specific dates and times, starting off on Friday, December 20th.

Other updates made to the game include a new series of video tutorials available on YouTube, information on what the game’s player rewards program offers for December and January, and a change to challenge team sizes and times.
