At the end of June, Funcom and Inflexion announced a major series of free updates en route to popular survivalbox Conan Exiles. As of this week, the first one has arrived.
“[Part one of] Legacy of the Giant-Kings, a brand-new four-part story arc, is now live, sending you deep beneath the Unnamed City into one of the Exiled Lands’ most dangerous and mysterious locations yet: the Cyclopean Halls,” the studios write. “There, Akhamet awaits – urging players to uncover the remains of the Giant-Kings. You’ll uncover secrets of the ancient Giant-Kings while facing new challenges and uncovering long-buried truths beneath the sands.”
In addition to the new arc and dungeon, we’re getting the revival of legendary repair and a bunch of quality-of-life fixes, like rebinding, clarity for thrall status, more save slots, more player inventory, better container closing, hand warpaint, and FSR frame gen functionality.
The three future chunks of this update are still en route, obviously, as Funcom and Inflexion (of Nightingale fame) continuing shoring up the sandbox post-Dune Awakening – an effort that earlier this year pushed the game to its second-highest concurrency levels thanks to the new “enhanced” version of the game.
