Neverwinter shows off the exotic monsters to be found in Tomb of Annihilation

One of the big selling points of Neverwinter’s upcoming Tomb of Annihilation is the presence of dinosaurs to fight. You would think that after fighting a huge toothy lizard that breathes fire and flies that a T-Rex would seem like a step down, but somehow that’s not the case. But you will be fighting other menaces there, as detailed in the latest development update; players will also be facing off against uncontrolled undead and the savage yuan-ti alongside dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes.

Still, the tyrannosaurus is an obvious set piece to fight, to the point that it gets a whole article explaining just how this massive lizard moves in combat. What it lacks in spellcasting prowess it makes up for in sheer, brutal efficiency; you can check out the monstrous creature’s animations in the video just below. It’s big, it’s deadly, and it moves with an almost tangible sense of weight; you’ll probably have an easier time watching it now than when you’re fighting it.

I heard this game still sells characters in their shop that do not work as advertised? Seeing an article about the renegade drow/drow no longer healing in half the time, and the weapon master no longer has its perks but they still sell these with the very nice perks still listed.

Seems illegal to me to sell something with alot of great perks but none of them work? And for real cash. False advertising.

Ok, so a friend purchased the combo and was a little pissed nothing worked as advertised. So I asked if the product showed the perks and sure enough, they are still listed and was shown in game, they do indeed not work.

The ticket that was received stated “We see you have been away a while and things have changed….” I wont go any further into what I read but it was hilarious. These people at Perfect world entertainment certainly do not understand selling an item with a list of desirable perks and then in game, none of them work due to their free to play business model.

I told them even if you win you lose because the money to fight perfect word entertainment and win would be excessive and I doubt you get damages.

I told them to cut their losses and move on and just lodge a complaint with the spineless BBB and then list their card as stolen and then do a chargeback, that way perfect world cant play the take back money ping pong.

I still can’t get over being weirded out that dinosaurs are being added. I know, magical world etc. etc., but it just seems so…out of place with everything else for some reason.

Did you have a problem with Un’Goro Crater as well? It seemed to fit just fine in WoW to me.

It fits the Forgotten Realms setting with regard to Chult, which is very “lost world.” Dinosaurs even go back to 1977 with the Monster Manual. It might seem weird but it’s consistent with D&D. :)

Yeah, I know they’re in D&D, and I mean, D&D has a pretty diverse array of baddies and monsters so it’s not like Dinosaurs are out of place in many regards.

It’s just…weird to me. It will never not be weird to me for some reason, dinosaurs are simply something I can’t ever associate with fantasy like D&D in my brain. I know I’m wrong, for the very reasons you stated, but sadly that’s how my brain works -_-
