Roblox grows to 90 million players, does a crossover with WWE for some reason

Sporting a player population that Fortnite and League of Legends could only dream of attaining, global game platform Roblox announced that it has reached 90 million monthly active users. We only assume that world domination is next on the list, as Roblox is offering localization, moderation, and customer support in French and German.

And expect this population to get even larger once WWE fans get wind of a crossover between wrestling and Roblox. From now through May 3rd, players can grab one of four limited-edition WestleMania avatars and various WWE-related cosmetics to enhance their game experience. The WWE lineup here includes Becky Lynch, Xavier Woods, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins. You may be familiar with Xavier Woods as well from his YouTube channel, or maybe just from the time when he and the rest of his team The New Day marched around in Final Fantasy XIV-themed gear.

“Like Roblox, WWE brings a sense of play and fun into millions of people’s lives, and we’re excited to partner with them ahead of this landmark event,” said Roblox CBO Craig Donato. “Picking your avatar on Roblox is one of the many ways players can express themselves creatively, and with these new characters, fans can show their support and play as their favorite superstars.”
