Big changes are in the works for EVE structures

EVE Online

CCP has released a giant dev blog that covers EVE Online’s new structure system. Much of it is “highly theoretical,” and the company says it’s playing its hand months in advance so as to collect and act upon player feedback.

Oh, and don’t fret about your existing structures. If and when the proposed changes take place, there will be some sort of transition phase to mitigate potential space tears. For more on EVE’s structure revamp, be sure to see our Fanfest one-on-one with executive producer Andie Nordgren.

And while we’re talking about Fanfest, we should point out that CCP is already planning the 2016 version of its annual gala as well as selling tickets to EVE Vegas 2015.

Perfect Hero faxing a picture id to them

Purely out of curiosity, what is the name of the alliance that required this from the recruits?

Snky larely due in part to it being untouched for almost a decade now. there are a few ‘space games” out there for the MMO crown but most of them are F2P trashpits lacking anything resembling actual depth or engaging gameplay.

Eve is really starting to show it’s age. I tried to go back a few months ago, but it didn’t take long to remember how boring it was to be an average player in that game. I tried to join up with a big nullsec alliance again only to find out that paranoia has grown to the point where they want real life info to join such as faxing a picture id to them. Not to mention that the game is 75% spinning your ship in a station, 20% transporting/grinding, and 5% combat. Autopilot space ship on a nebula backdrop is losing it’s appeal.

Needmoreloot I for one will play both EVE and Star Citizen, but then I am an amazing human being, one of the few capable of playing more then one title at any given time :)

They haven’t even thought of all the “new” games they won’t deliver with that eve revenue yet, sounds like their be busy releasing very little this coming year #snark #WODOgrumpiness

I do wonder with the inbound trajectory of star citizen whether eve will be the blood stain on the back of hangar when / if the community ejects and goes for the new kid on the block.

All of this is necessary if CCP wants to stay relevant. Everyone is gunning for their market lately.
