Hearthstone unlocks Molten Core wing

Hearthstone players will be treated to a blast from the past this week by visiting Molten Core as part of the Blackrock Mountain adventure pack. The newest wing of this solo dungeon opened for business yesterday, challenging players to face off against several iconic bosses such as Garr and Baron Geddon.

Those who master the dungeon wing will acquire a legendary Majordomo Executus card, unlock class challenges, be treated to the heroic mode, and snag several other cards for their collection.

Anyone else just look at this announcement and just say nah your not getting anymore of my money? The shine has really come off Blizzard in general.   The last wow expansion has been crap after you get to 100.   Add that to the lies they sprouted about flying coming back in the game to increase xpack sales and then retracted the statement just left a bad taste in my mouth.

cromahr for me it just came down to i couldn’t even beat the computer so why would I waste my time playing this game if all i’ll ever do is lose.

that’s like getting into Starcraft ranked multiplayer. Not going to happen unless you dedicate 15 hours a week to the game.

Zakiel I would love that. Like chess puzzles, but with Hearthstone cards. With maybe some leeway for multiple solutions.

Class challenges do that a bit at least.

I really wish I’d like this kind of game, really do. When I first tried out HS, I really liked the way it was done, and of course it was fun to see all the lore chars and abilities that I knew from the game.
However, either I dislike something about HS or about games like this in general. I tried to get into it three times, and every time, I lost interest very quickly, and I can’t put my finger onto a clear reason for that. I did play last summer to get that hearthsteed mount, and tried out the first Naxx wing.
I still think this game is quite nicely done, and seeing all those people enjoying it so much plus the expansions makes me wish I could get into it and enjoy it

The boss mechanism are in the Black Rock Mountain so far quite interesting and every boss battle is a little brain teaser what and how to put it in the deck… Normal mode is exactly where the challenge level should be… Heroic is not about skills or anything else but about the fact if you draw the right cards at the right time which makes it quite silly.

What I would LOVE to see in the game would be Hearthstone puzzles. Boards set up for everyone exactly the same with premade draws and you would have to fight your way out of the tight spot, win the game in three turns, survive etc. Ofc internet guides would spoil it but they spoil even the adventures if you go for already tested decks straight from the start.

Opinions? = )

jealouspirate I am right there with ya. I will eventually beat it but all that hassle for a silly card back makes me on my 10th attempt on the same boss cringe. = )

Wish there was a bit more reason to attempt the Heroic versions beyond the extra challenge. Going through all that RNG just for a card back isn’t all that rewarding.

Had lot of fun with normal mode and the class challenges. Probably be a while before I beat heroic :P

Definitely not touching the Hard mode of the Molten Core wing, the normal mode was crazy enough.
