I freely admit that I never actually played Glitch, but I was glad it existed and sad at the people who never even had the chance to play it. So it does my heart good to see that Eleven is rallying on full steam ahead to produce a playable version of the game for everyone. You guys keep doing your thing.
Meanwhile, there were no other beta things happening, and by “no other beta things” I mean “several other beta things.”
- Closers Online is going to be launching a Japanese closed beta! No sign of a US beta, no, so the game remains… well, you can make your own jokes about stuff that’s closed off.
- Civilization Online is also still unavailable to American civilians. Or… military personnel, too. Just let me make these jokes.
- World of Warships entered its open beta stage, thus allowing everyone a journey on the high seas.
- The open beta date for Skyforge is July 16th, and this case “open beta” rhymes with “soft launch.”
- What’s the difference between Albion Online founders and the rest of the world? The summer alpha is running only for the former.
- Last but not least, if you’re wondering how you can look so very pretty in Black Desert you can check out all of the game’s costumes in short order. You may wish to whisper “vogue” whilst you watch.
We also have a full list of games past the break, and of course, we’d love to know if there’s a game on that list which shouldn’t be or one that jumped statuses without telling us. Games are sneaky, sneaky things.
As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed.
