Albion’s summer alpha is going swimmingly, according to an update posted today on the fantasy sandbox’s website. So far, 15,400 players from 145 countries have taken part, and they’ve racked up 12,387 PvP kills and built 28,892 buildings.
Sandbox Interactive also released a new content patch today which opened up the Deadlands area, which features both PvP and rare T7 and T8 resources as well as 20 new territories ripe for guild claims. The Deadlands area also includes dungeons, one of which features a 10-person boss fight against the “ferocious Demon Prince” of Albion’s Morgana faction.

MorpayneRADIO Honestly I doubt AppStore lets them do it like that for an Alpha product. Probably will be seen more after the game launches.
JakeBoller In Red Zones, yes. In Yellow Zones, currently, you simply take a knee and when you ress you become invisible, invulnerable and can easily walk away from any bad scenario.
Gearing is pretty bad depending on the tier you go with. Higher end gear, yes it’s abominable to re-gear yourself out. Lower tiers of gear are a joke to regear out in so its’ not as bad if you lose stuff.
paragonlostinspace Because it gets wiped when the Alpha is done in a few weeks. They did this in Winter Alpha too, releasing higher level areas about mid way through for more people to grab.
And since there’s a single server with an international audience when they released the patch in the AM all the European guilds got a chance to scoop up all the territory long before the North American players could even log in.
“Yaaaaaaaay.”
JakeBoller Thats because you think getting gear will work the same in this game as WoW.
I’m not sure I see the reason to “open up” new areas, content, gear etc when your game is still in Alpha? Alpha I guess no longer means what it used to mean. How is this mmo even considered “in alpha” anymore?
kofteburger MorpayneRADIO for ipad that is probably true. AFAIK it won’t work on an iphone. I play it on my tablet sometimes and it is definitely less ideal than KB + M
MorpayneRADIO I guess AppStore review process is holding them off.
louiedog_Â MorpayneRADIO Might help it appeal to the next gen of “gamers” coming up….
MorpayneRADIO please no, it is already simple enough
