Gloria Victis revises combat mechanics and more

Alpha-state fantasy sandbox Gloria Victis pushed out a press release late this week touting “massive” amounts of polish and bug-fixing for the latest build. Two consecutive updates were released to the live client, which addressed critical issues with logging in and saving inventory in the database. More noticeably in terms of gameplay, the devs have revised all of the combat mechanics calculations, leading to an increase in performance during both PvP and PvE fights. NPCs can deal critical damage, too, so watch out.

Finally, the dev team has “significantly reduced” the game’s CPU usage. Near future optimizations will include server and client performance as well as user-friendly launcher improvements.

ClassicCrime Thanks for the video. Very well structured and informative. Try to be less sing songy, and more natural in your deliveries. Otherwise, very solid.

ironically, I just made this video to sum up all the changes the game has gotten since the last time I played, 6 months ago. Go figure it’d get another huge update a couple days later

They should spend some time on the games security as well. All games have bots and exploits, but in opvp games with territory control like this one those advantages are monumentally more game breaking.
The APEX dupers of early archeage is a good example, it created a “ruling” class of cheaters worth hundreds of thousands of gold that were never punished. Even all this time later, the only people who can compete with these cheaters are those willing to heavily p2w.

I think in general this game looks good. As a not fan of pvp ( in mmos)  I’m still interested and waiting to see just how bad the quality of life for PvE people will be in the game.
