Every fourth basic attack Jhin fires deals an automatic critical strike and bonus damage based on his missing health, but that’s not the whole story. Slain enemies also spawn a blooming flower on the corpse that reveals and slows nearby enemies and then explodes for bonus damage. Unlike most champions, Jhin has the unique twist that any attack speed and critical chance he gains from items and runes actually give him bonus attack damage instead. His criticals also deal less bonus damage than normal but grant him a small boost of movement speed, which is based on his attack speed.
If all of that has you a bit confused, don’t worry because you’re not alone. Jhin’s laundry list of passive abilities changes how items, runes, and other champions interact with him, and all of this is before even looking at his active abilities. They include a bouncing grenade that jumps between enemies, an extremely long-range shot that can root enemies, a deployable trap that triggers an area-effect slow when enemies walk on top of it, and an ultimate ability that enables him to see and shoot at offscreen champions. At the very least, we know that Jhin will make for some interesting strategies when he goes live.
