While the first tuning is in the Cartel Market, there are plans to add more tunings to the game available from a variety of sources, including straight gameplay. The tuning is also not any more rare than other items within a given pack. There are also plans to add slots to more items that don’t currently have the tuning option, so if your preferred weapon lacks the option, that may not be forever. The answers may not mollify everyone, but they do at least address concerns.

ItsatrapLOL The original announcement said that:Â http://massivelyop.com/2016/04/21/check-out-swtors-upcoming-weapon-effect-customization/
This is just a rehash reminding people what they said before. And the new fact that these aren’t “super-rare” as some people who don’t understand RNG originally reported.

You want pay to win to mean having an atom bomb you can purchase in the cash shop. BDO’s cash shop offers mechanical, progression, and ease of use through their cash shop. Almost every other MMO on the planet doing the same doesn’t somehow make that any better for BDO. Many just swallow it like a cup of waste because there’s next to no game doing what it does now.
The pvp vendors sell weapons with tuning slots

“All the SWTOR pets, mounts, and cosmetics are available as BOE items on the GTN for ingame credits earned with ingame efforts, no RL$ required.”
Frankly, I wish ever person who has a gripe about any games’ cash shop, considers this aspect at first…before running off the commentary mouth. For us, who never played SWTOR in question for example, have no real way of knowing beyond doing the research. So we can only assume that access is only bought via RMT…when that’s the furthest thing from the truth.
If players sincerely support their game, shouldn’t be saying things that will dissuade others who never played it from playing it. Unless of course, their agenda is to bring down the game. You know, haters gonna hate. /soapbox
Neo_Wolf Ah, just read the Dulfy guide. My mistake. It is only certain weapons, but they aren’t all new ones.
Neo_Wolf Don’t think it is just “select new weapons” that can have tunings. I was playing earlier and noticed both my Sentinel’s lightsabres now have tuning slots since the patch. One is a crafted one and I think the other is one bought with comms. Neither are fancy cash-shop weapons.
Estranged Your right it is not a PTW game it is sadly however a pay to be anything but generic game.
melissaheather I like the way you think, this would totally get my vote :)
I wouldn’t trust Musco as far as I could throw him, the guy lies to the community so often his credibility is practically non existant and that’s WHEN he responds to them at all.
But the long and short of it for me is that UNTIL they add the ability to add tunings to existing weapons instead of “just” “select” new weapons then I am ZERO interested.
TheDonDude melissaheather Plus the “and STFU since it is all available for credits on the GTN” aspect.
