Here’s how to tame a passel of Guild Wars 2 kitties

For what very limited customization exists in Guild Wars 2’s home instances, you’d expect that players would leap at any opportunity to add to these spaces — even if it meant inviting in ravenous felines to roam the streets.

Dulfy has a new guide out to help the community do just that. As of this week’s patch, the game now plays host to “hungry cats” that can be tamed and introduced into the artificial habitat of a player home instance. These cats are found in a variety of locations, from Lion’s Arch to Silverwastes, and each must be enticed by a different food.

Success means that the cats migrate over to a player’s home. So other than coughing up hairballs, what do these kitties do for you? According to the guide, they will follow a player around, play together (but only if they’re the same color because even cats can be racist), and occasionally throw snowballs at the player. Wait, what?
