Let’s get the bad news out of the way first: Wild West Online had to delay getting its promised gameplay video out. The team said that it should arrive sometime in July, but no date was set for this reveal.
On the plus side, the “early bird” preorder program was extended to July 20th, giving potential players a further opportunity to buy into one of the special bundles and get in on the testing process when it commences.
Speaking of testing, the team recently posted a list of its alpha servers and their locations. In North America, there will be servers in Dallas and Virginia. Europe will feature shards in Amsterdam and Berlin, while Southeast Asia is going to get things going with servers in Singapore and Hong Kong. The closed alpha should be going live by the end of the month.
ie. barely anyone has preordered our game, so we’re going to extend the preorders in hopes that a few more might.
Hope this turn out well . We need more diversity in mmos .
I’ve heard exactly nothing, doodly-squat, out of WWO since becoming an Early Bird. Read into that what you wish.
Tempted to back it since the highest entry is pretty cheap ($60 in comparison to founder’s packs that LOVE to do $100-$150+). But they really need to get that gameplay video out before pre-orders are over.
Melissa is a backer. Can’t wait to hear her feedback.
Berlin?
Frankfurt is usually used for that because its the big internet hub in germany.
Ever since the Berlin Firewall fell, it’s been a lot better.
my ping to dallas isn’t too bad and neither is the euro guildies’ (about the same really so we’ve seen). so that’s good. shame about the video tho. i’ll give em a few more weeks, even tho i think at this point the usual fly over videos are getting rather tired.
