Star Wars: The Old Republic marches on with class changes

Very dynamic.
If next Monday is Eclipse Day in North America, is it OK if we deem Tuesday to be Star Wars On A Train Day? Because you know that when Star Wars: The Old Republic’s Update 5.4 arrives on August 22nd, you won’t be able to think over the noise of millions of players shouting “WHEEE!” as they set up shop in a high tech, high velocity mobile housing.

To be sure, Crisis on Umbara will boast more than just a new stronghold on a floating train, but it’s going to be hard to get past that to see the rest. The rest such as the continuation of class build revisions that began back in Game Update 5.3.

On the forums, the team outlined some of the changes that are coming to the Operative’s concealment, the Scoundrel’s scrapper, the Marauder’s carnage, and the Sentinel’s combat disciplines. Unfortunately, all four of these builds are getting nerfed in some capacity, so our sympathies for those adversely affected.

Game was fine back during launch with all those many months of alpha, beta, closed and opened testing. Can’t see why they have to keep wasting time nerfing stuff and pissing people off and simply revert back to the original class trees and the balance it had. Instead they should be making changes to new abilities added since those didn’t receive all of that testing.

I swear its like they are trying to piss off the player base. I used to love the BH class way back then. Today its nothing like how the class should be. Its almost like a melee class now.

Ugh! Yeah, aside from basic attack, the powertech doesn’t even use that pistol for any other attack! What’s the point?
And on that note, how is a bounty hunter only limited to pistols?? They should have access to EVERY ranged amd melee weapon, maybe even a few skills from the other classes too. It would reflect the fact that these are highly skilled warriors with varied talents, as one would expect…nthats the sort of class change I want to see; evidence that they’ve actually thought about the class!

Couldn’t agree more! No other game I know makes this many changes to their classes as regularly as these guys do, plus they have the gaul to call it a feature!
Think I’m pretty much done with this game, til I hear some ‘New expansion’ news or at least something NEW being added, rather than something OLD being changed… it already provides the slowest cadence and least amount of new content out of all games on my rotation (there was a time when swtor was the ONLY game on my rotation, for years!!)

Heh… anyone else quickly skim this articles title as just,

“STAR WARS: THE OLD REPUBLIC MARCHES ON WITH CLASS”

totally missing the “CHANGES” part at the end? I was actually almost excited to read about the game.
