Bless Online’s concept art is so damn pretty

How about some eyecandy for your Friday evening? Neowiz has posted up a ton of Bless Online concept art, specifically featuring the capital cities in the game, Spezia and Hieracon.

Spezia, the studio says, is the largest city in the southern continent, dubbed the city of water and the “heart of the Unión alliance.” Hieracon, on the other hand, is a many-spired fortress controlling the northern continent for the Hieron peoples. The images also explore Terny (the city of death), the Burning Desert, the gloomy Beolan Valley, and the Horse Mane grasslands. Enjoy!

With the cash shop and Fatigue system in this game people will quit in droves. The fatigue that is in the rebuild allows you to run 2 dungeons a day and have to wait till the next to do anything. Oh yah you can pay 30 bucks to refill it. If you don’t like PVP you can purchase an item for 10 bucks to turn it off for 15 min. Avoid this game and the cash grab that it will be

People said the same about Black Desert and yet it sits firmly in the top played games on Steam.

That desert sure looked cool. I have a thing for desert zones in games, they’re my favorite. I can’t wait to get my hands on BLESS.

That’s always the problem with concept art – the finished game does not even come close.

All those grand vistas, majestic peaks, epic scale of landscapes and everything is thick with atmosphere and drama… And then you see those places in the game, tiny spartan washed out areas that instead of the grand scale of the concept art give more of an impression of a larger living room.

It’s sad how game studios are completely unable to translate the art into game worlds. And no, it’s not merely a question of the available HW, none of the games today is able to properly use what even 5 years old machines can offer.

Images unrelated to Bless, but they show well how concept art is completely beyond anything the games actually deliver.

Same goes even for big games like Diablo III, StarCraft II and WoW. Their art is also misleading, so it’s a global issue.

After playing bdo, its too difficult for me to go back to themepark games and the usual leveling and the dungeon or dailies…

And i am a pve player.. i hate pvp and i avoid it as much as possible but still bdo is miles away fron any other MMO. first time i have so many things to do in a beautiful persistent world..

I am just hoping that the crafting and economy in Bless is better than BDO … And if it isnt, I will see if the various racial starting zones have unique quest lines.

… And if they don’t, I will probably just ditch PC gaming for another year & work through my backlog.

If it’s open world PvP without the ability to opt out, I’ll give this game a pass.

Got to agree there. Bdo and it’s balance issues totally ruined PvP for me.

Concept art tends to be pretty.
