Black Desert patches in pirate and equestrian events as Pearl Abyss reclaims Russian publishing

Black Desert heard you liked events, so it’s trotted out events aplenty for this week’s patch: Ride on Time (uggggg, that one hurts) for fans of the game’s horse system, plus there are treasure chests spawning all over the world. And why is all the rum gone? Because Black Desert players are hoarding it for the third and final event.

The studio further clarified the details of its node war overhaul, so if you’re in a guild that likes to duke it out with other guilds, you should probably read the whole thing. There are charts. Multiple charts. This really was the right company to buy CCP Games.

Finally, Black Desert’s Russian publisher, GameNet, announced this morning that Pearl Abyss will taking over publishing of the game in the CIS region. Google Translate’s take on the text suggests that the companies are working closely to transfer account information from one company to the other without “unnecessary inconvenience.”

“[W]e are preparing a separate server without any associations with the European server so that users can continue to enjoy their favorite game on the Russian server,” GameNet says.
