As many MMO fans will attest, extensive character customization can be a big draw for a game. After all, what gamers don’t love making a character that’s uniquely their own? The folks at BioWare seem to recognize this, as the latest Anthem developer livestream focused primarily on the game’s character customization system, and boy does it ever deliver.

Players will be able to customize almost every aspect of their javelins, from color scheme to material texture. The array of options available is pretty staggering, especially for a game still relatively early in development. If you’re a sucker for cosmetics and character personalization features, the full stream is certainly worth a watch, and you can check it out yourself just below.

On top of that, Anthem is going multimedia thanks to a partnership between BioWare and Dark Horse Books, which will be publishing “a three-issue comic miniseries that will serve as a prequel story to the highly anticipated game.” The series will be written by Alexander Freed, author of the novelization of Star Wars: Rogue One and Mac Walters, author of Mass Effect: Foundation, with art from Eduardo Francisco, who has worked on a number of DC Comics titles. The first issue of the series will hit shelves on February 27th, 2019.
