While those of us in the real world are ringing in the new year with champagne and fireworks, the denizens of Eorzea are holding their own celebration to commemorate the beginning of the new year under the auspices of the Twelve. Until January 15th, Final Fantasy XIV players can take part in the Heavensturn festivities by speaking to the Inoshishi Bugyo in Limsa Lominsa, where he is enlisting the assistance of adventurers to spread word of the celebration to the people of the city.

Players will be able to sample some delectable, festive confections and take part in celebratory quests and events. And as 2019 is the year of the pig, players will also be able to get their hands on some adorable porcine accoutrements, including the Inoshishi Kabuto headwear and the Boar’s Head Kadomatsu housing decoration. In addition, players who missed out on the Heavensturns of previous years will be able to pick up some of the previous goodies at the seasonal shop. For all the details on this year’s Heavensturn celebration, you can check out the official announcement at FFXIV’s official site.
