So what’s your poison: space MMO or space MOBA? Either way, you’ll find that the up-and-coming Galaxicus wants to sate your interstellar appetite. The game came onto the scene this month and purports to be a space empire building game that can accommodate up to 10,000 players at a time.
The hook here is that players will be able to engage in either a limited or widespread mode. The academy is a two to five-player MOBA-like experience that boasts both PvE and PvP versions, while wars are four-week events where the community dukes it out over five million star citizens. By resetting the board at the end of the month, the devs hope to establish equality of a sort among players.
Then there will be this: “At the conclusion of each year, top winners will be able to fight in the War of the Galaxies, with the top prize — the title of Emperor — going to the last player standing.”
War of the Galaxies, eh? Should probably shorten that down to “Star Wars” or something.
