You’d be forgiven for being confused about the MU franchise, given just how many titles Webzen has pumped out using that IP. There’s MU Legend, MU Origin, MU Online… and now MU ORIGIN 2 is heading westward next week in the wake of what Webzen characterizes as a “huge success” for the mobile MMO overseas.

“MU ORIGIN 2 is the second mobile spin-off from the main MU series and blends the franchise’s predominant combat system and characters, boasting improved graphics and amped up gameplay, among other elements that players would expect from MU ORIGIN 2. With the official launch of the game, a huge selection of quests, dungeons, modes, pets, items and much more will be waiting for players to discover and unlock in the game. Following the game’s huge success in Asia and a successful closed beta of the global version, MU ORIGIN 2 will be fully localized into English, Portuguese and Spanish. It will be available to download for free on the Google Play Store and App Store in North America, Latin America and Europe on May 28th.”

There’s a new trailer as well showcasing the game’s three classes; you can also preregister on Apple and Android devices.
