Anthem’s Cataclysm PTS testing may be yielding some improvements to the shooter

With the PTS testing that continues to be performed on Anthem, you would expect things to be improving, yet so far some of the first reports from players say the adverse is true. If the account of one particular Redditor is to be believed, however, that course may be correcting.

First off, it should be said that one thread starter’s experience does not constitute aggregated data from numerous other folks or actual release patch notes. Still, Redditor xJVIayhem (presumably xMayhem but with an attempt at a fancy “M”) has done a pretty solid job of compiling the experience over the course of Cataclysm PTS testing.

According to xMayhem’s findings offered up in literal spreadsheet form, drop rates appear to have been improving from run to run, which should mean that running Cataclysms will be a rewarding endeavor for players. In addition to loot drops, xMayhem also touches on Crystals, War Chests, and some of the new items on offer. The Reddit thread also explains some of the new Freeplay events in-game as well.

“Is Cataclysm going to be the “be all end all” up date for Anthem? No. Is it a great start in a good direction, hell yes. It improves how loot feels overall by removing Luck. Adds more content to play around with, another gear slot to work on and plenty of other good stuff. There’s still work to be done, but the game feels a lot better overall where it matters, in my opinion at least.”

As for the game’s most recent PTS update, a schedule of Inversions has been posted for the Cataclysm; along with a new schedule for the seasonal store and the opening of all arenas in the Cataclysm.
