Now that the US has had its Thanksgiving, it’s time to look forward to all of the fun in-game wintertime events the MMO gaming world will no doubt have in store for us. First out of the gate is the City of Heroes: Homecoming rogue server, which has begun the winter season in style. It also has maybe raised some concerns about how player characters will deal with the implied cold, but at least we can be assured their hands are warm… because they all have mitten hands! No, I’m not apologizing for that joke!

On point: The winter season brings a dressed-up Atlas Park, the appearance of Mysterious Presents across Paragon City and the Rogue Isles, the return of Father Time to the Ski Chalet, and the addition of Lord Winter’s Realm to the LFG queue. The latest patch has also made a few minor tweaks including a redder Damage Resistance enhancement hue and several bug fixes.

What are you waiting for? Put on your best hand mittens and get thee to the Chalet! Which still stands as one of the best seasonal locations in all of MMORPG gaming, if you ask me.
