To address something that came up during the stream: I think being concerned about spoilers for a TV series that’s been out for a while is still valid, just as it is for books, or movies or games. Sometimes people want to experience something for the first time themselves, not second hand via or by accident.

The Warframe community mostly goes out of their way to avoid spoiling “The Second Dream,” because it’s widely believed that it’s one of the best storytelling moments in the entire game. That’s a mission that’s been out for years. Spoilers *do* exist, lots of people on youtube have “first playthrough” and reaction videos for it. Someone who *wants* to spoil it has any number of opportunities. But if you ask most dedicated players, the advice you’ll get is “You could, but it would be better if you didn’t.”

I’ve never seen Discovery. I don’t want to pay for CBS Streaming Ripoff to watch literally two shows (Star Trek Picard and Star Trek Discovery.) I do not believe it’s available from any service I *am* currently subscribed to, and I can’t currently afford the Complete Season box sets on disk.

So yes, there’s a point in the story mission where they casually mention something that happens on the show. And my thought was “Oh. Okay I guess, that just happened. That sounded like it was probably very mysterious and kind of a big deal. Too bad I’ll never find out, because you just told me the ending in a cutscene.”
