Might as well jump.

The open beta for Phantasy Star Online 2 is just around the corner, but the game did have its first beta test already, and that produced some interesting data about what players were doing along the way. And now it’s available for everyone to see in chart form! Sure, the game is still limited to console players for the moment, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get a sense of where players are at.

It turns out the most popular race for players was Human, with CASTs coming in a close second; Human and CASTs tended to be more often male, while Neumans were mostly female. Meanwhile, classes were dominated by Hunters and Bravers, with Techters, Gunners, and Fighters in the distinct minority; then again, around 74% of all characters didn’t break level 20, so it might not be indicative of the long-term split. If you want a closer look at the breakdown, check out all the charts on the official site. You can also start skewing those statistics yourself on March 17th if you have an Xbox One.
