RuneScape starts Mental Health Awareness Week and recaps the past 12 months of content in a video

This week in RuneScape is a very special one. It’s Mental Health Awareness Week, and the world of Gielinor has some of Jagex’s mental health charity partners present for the occasion. Between now and Sunday, May 24th, players can find representatives of CPSL Mind, Rise Above the Disorder, and The Prince’s Trust in Lumbridge Crater. If players answer a question correction from them correctly each day, they’ll receive an XP lamp.

In addition, players can earn charity tokens, which can be exchanged for prizes like the Bastion of Fortitude armor set and a Eugene the Brain pet, and can purchase previous years’ prizes with RuneCoins from Solomon’s General Store; 100% of proceeds raised will be donated to the above charities.

Mental Health Week isn’t the only thing new in RuneScape, of course, as there’s yet another weekly patch that includes several things such as the mobile version’s walk marker added to PC and improvements to buff bar priority.

Finally, Jagex has cut together a little video for anyone who happens to have been away from the game for the past year in order to showcase what updates have been made. If you happen to be among that number, get caught up in the embed below.
