The ability to share your character designs, pose them and your friends together, take photo shoots in set shots or action shots and then turn around and share those poses and screenshots should be inherent in any MMO.

There have been countless studies around multiplayer online games and the player attachment to their avatars. It’s such a deeply meaningful part of the genre as a whole that it’s so odd it’s often neglected.

I usually avoid discussing our game here (bit too much self-promotion), but we already have the ability to pose all your characters and your friends’ characters (if they share them with you/the community) against dozens of HDR backgrounds or any 3D Model you might want to import (like Daz and Poser models) in League of Maidens. You can then turn around and share those scenes with your friends.

I just put in a suggestion to add saved Pose3D scenes to the character select screen as well. Thanks, Kat! (And the reader who suggested it)


As far as I know, Fallout 76 does have level scaling but its weird in that in scales based on the highest level player who has recently been through the area, so a very high level player could screw up your quest for you so you might have to leave and rejoin another server to fix it.

The Warframe thing you mention is Captura – it’s not a pause or action camera option during normal gameplay, rather you can choose a specific scene (a few are unlocked by default but most are unlocked through gameplay), invite a few friends in to join you, spawn a few enemies, add filters and stuff, change the speed or pause the action entirely, and either move the camera around manually or set up a camera track. This music video is a pretty good example of what you can do with it:


Speaking of rollbacks, Wakfu suffered a 3 or 4 months rollback in June 2015, and i remember you guys talked about it, and there was no backup, the game went back in time on one server.

The character selection screen ideas are great, i hope to see some of them in games.
