It appears that the developers of SMITE are continuing to reach into the well of fiction for additions to the game. Starting in July, players will be able to dress up certain gods as characters from the hit animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra.
Specifically, Aang, Zuko, and Korra will become full transformative skins of existing gods in the game’s roster; Merlin can be changed into Aang, Susano can be changed into Zuko, and Korra and her pet polar bear dog Naga will be a choice for Skadi. These are more than just simple skins, as they wholesale change each god’s visuals, each one referencing fan favorite moments from their respective TV shows. Each character’s gameplay, however, will remain intact.
These new appearances will be introduced with the Avatar Battle Pass, which features a number of other referential goodies such as an in-game representation of Appa, an emote referencing the misfortune of cabbage vendors in the show, and Avatar Aang, Avatar Korra, and Blue Spirit Zuko skins in the Prestige track.
