LOTRO extends summer festival while servers are still being fixed

Are Lord of the Rings Online’s servers getting better? From anecdotal evidence, it appears so, although the recent instability hasn’t completely vanished from the scene. Pressed for an update on the situation, the game’s community manager said, “Work has been ongoing, and some work is being done this week to further refine the tools we have. Sorry I don’t have much else to add.”

However, if you’re worried that you aren’t getting as much time with the newly combined summer festival, there is some good news on that front. The studio said that the Farmer’s Faire is being extended through September 14th, so you’ll have plenty of time to get all the tokens — and rewards — that you desire.

In an interesting side-note, Daybreak-cum-Standing Stone Games posted a new job listing looking for a new member of the LOTRO team: “The content designer will collaborate with other disciplines and designers to develop engaging and memorable gameplay experiences. This is a temporary contract position for 12 months with potential for full time.”
