Closers is ready to rock, release a new character, open a winter dungeon, celebrate the holidays, and sell you stuff on Steam. If all of that seems like tonal whiplash, worry not; it’s effectively part of the action MMO’s most recent updates. See? Totally makes collective sense.
The tentpole attraction of the game’s latest patch is the new character Cheolsu Kim, who starts at level 67 and has a max level of 86. His arrival to the game has been heralded by a special event that runs between now and January 20th, with rewards for leveling up and clearing dungeons.
Speaking of events, the patch has brought a number of them including a Shining Star event to unlock unique rock star-ready costumes, cumulative login events running on Saturdays and Sundays between December 19th and January 17th, a Closers Day event, a Winter Holiday event, and a Winter Event Dungeon that can be entered by level 40 characters once per day.
Finally, for those who play Closers on Steam, the game is now ready to sell you DLC packs, which come in three flavors — a Gold and Platinum bundle that are priced at a whopping $50 and $200 respectively and one that’s free to claim. The game’s Steam DLC page offers more details on what’s in each pack, while the latest patch notes offer details for the rest of the update’s features and events.
