The Demeter update for Dual Universe is primarily about mining, what with its addition of mining units and overhaul of mining specifically. With that in mind, it’s perhaps not a surprise to know that when the update goes live “soon,” it is going to be resetting several mining-specific talents. The announcement post details which talents are being affected in this way to let rock nibblers in the game ready to adapt, and also confirms that any points spent towards these talents will be automagically refunded.
As one might expect, the Demeter update is very much on the minds of the devs at Novaquark, as they assembled in a roundtable video podcast last week to talk about several features of the patch. The video offers a breakdown of Demeter’s feature set, detailing the aforementioned mining units and mining changes, along with territory control adjustments and a reset to planetary geometry.
